Lab4DMade is officially launched
On May 12th we were delighted to welcome our Lab4DMade consortium partners to Xnovo headquarters for a kick-off meeting marking the start of an exciting chapter in 3D crystallographic imaging.
Our mission? Develop next generation laboratory-based scanning X-ray diffraction microscopy (Lab4DµXRD).
Why? To push the boundaries of spatial resolution and characterization throughput, whilst exploiting the unique ability to map microstructural evolution and strain across four dimensions (x, y, z, time).
All of this, demonstrated in real-world sustainable materials applications. Lab4DMade is funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) under Horizon Europe as an EIC Transition project.
This is materials characterisation reimagined.
We’re proud to be innovating alongside world-class partners: Advacam, AXO Dresden, DESY, DTU Construct, Hydro Extrusion, and the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials. Thanks to each of them for an energetic and inspiring kick-off!
Together, we’re setting a new standard for what laboratory crystallographic imaging can achieve → and this is just the beginning.
