Welcome to Olivia Ashton Barbee

We welcome Olivia Barbee to the Xnovo team as our new Scientist.

Olivia holds a PhD in geology from Michigan Tech and specializes in mineralogy and petrology. Her research has focused on textural-chemical studies of magmatic minerals to decipher records of magma evolution and multi-scale dynamics, primarily at Toba caldera in Indonesia. She continues to develop applications of X-ray diffraction contrast tomography to quartz and other natural minerals, integrating the technique into 3D-2D correlative microscopy and in situ experiments.
