GrainMapper3D version 4.1

We are proud to announce the release of GrainMapper3D version 4.1, enhancing reconstruction of complex samples containing more than one crystalline phase. GrainMapper3D version 4.1 gives easier access to crystallographic information for polycrystalline materials, especially those containing multiple phases of lower crystallographic symmetry, while still enabling correlation with complimentary information on e.g. cracks, porosities and inclusions – non-destructively.

Highlighted features of GrainMapper3D version 4.1

• External absorption mask giving access to more advanced segmentation tools and an unlimited number of absorption labels. 
• Magic wand recommending families of hkl reflections to streamline the indexing process.
• Unit cell fitting to improve correspondence with data, especially for lower symmetry phases.
